Get an inside look at the BDN’s big move downtown — from Main Street to Merchants Plaza

A few weeks ago, the Bangor Daily News moved out of the space at 491 Main St. — home to the BDN for 60 years, now home to Cross Insurance headquarters — and into its new digs at One Merchants Plaza in the heart of downtown Bangor. It was the most significant change for the BDN in decades, and brings more than 100 BDN employees into the downtown community. BDN visual journalist Brian Feulner documented the move throughout the process, talking with both BDN staffers and with community members about what the move means for both the BDN and for Bangor at large.

The resulting video premiered last night at the the Bangor Area Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event, which the BDN hosted in the new building. The event drew more than 300 people from throughout the greater Bangor area business community, all eager to see what the new BDN looks like. Now you can take a peek too.
